From the Contest Queen
Last week was both busy and fun for me. We had a booth in the Small Press area of Book Expo Canada. The show ran for two days and was open to people in the book industry. Everyone from publishers, authors, book reviewers, book store owners and staff attended the event. They come to see what is new and exciting; hence our booth was a buzz. This should lead to a wider distribution along with the beginning of my in-store book signings. A big thanks goes to my dad and sister for helping out in the booth!
I am very excited as we leave shortly for Phoenix AZ. Our next issue of The Winning EDGE will feature all our adventures at the 17th Annual National Sweepstakes Convention.
Last issue we ran a contest stating the first person to email me a picture (either from a digital camera or cellphone camera) of my book on display in a bookstore will win a copy of You Can’t Win If You Don’t Enter. Books have just starting arriving at Chapters book stores, so get clicking if you want a free copy of my book!!
I have received a few emails regarding how the ClickWatchWin promotion works. The full promotion has been up and running since June 1st. It is very easy to play and get entries. Go to the home page and login or register. Once you login, a window will pop-up with a playing board. You scroll your mouse over any of the ads currently displayed on the board and click on any pixel. (More ads will be added over the promotion period.) A 15 second “video” will play. You can click up to 1000 times per day. If you have clicked on the randomly selected winning pixel, a representative from 1FOR15.com will contact you directly. If you do have any further trouble with the promotion you can email them directly.
Tips and Tricks
This tip was sent in from Diane in Southampton, NJ.
When I do mail-in contests and I can enter more than once, I write a bunch of entries out all at one time. Then I put the date I want to mail it out where the stamp goes. I put them in order by date and when ready to mail out just put the stamp on top of the date in the right hand corner.
Our next tip was sent in by Alain in Montreal, QC.
If the rules state unlimited entries and if the prize is something I'd really like, I switch the home page on my browser to the entry page and use RoboForm. That way I get, depending on how busy my day is on the computer, 6 to 10 entries, well spaced, in the course of a day.
Thanks for your tips!!

It is frustrating to go to enter a contest and have them state no PO Boxes. Living in a rural area that’s all we have, even though we could give a delivery address if a prize was won. Do you know why?
Peace River, AB
Yes, because couriers will not deliver to P.O. Boxes. Many times the company will just courier out the release forms to the winner so if you have a "street" address, you really should use it when entering.

The Canadian Edition of You Can't Win If You Don't Enter should now be in your local book stores. If not, you can take in a copy of my sell sheet and ask them to order your copy.
