Are Survey Sweepstakes Worth Entering?

questions 3Aaron asks: Do you do the survey sweepstakes that you get on your receipt from fast food joints and stores and are they worth the time?

I do them when I have time as I do believe they are worth it. I have not won one, but I have met others that have.

That said, I would do them last. In yesterday’s post I outlined the best order of sweepstakes to enter:

  • single entry sweepstakes first,
  • those with a higher dollar value prize,
  • instants,
  • dailies,
  • then any others such as retweet or Facebook Timeline contests.

Tack receipt sweeps on to the bottom of the list. I am all about increasing my odds of winning, so I always enter best odds first.

Do you enter receipt sweeps? Have you ever won one?

If you have a sweepstakes, contest or giveaway question, please email me.

GOOD LUCK!

I think this is a good question! I always enter the surveys on the bottom of the receipts, because they take so little time to enter and it can’t hurt for me to throw my name in the ring. The odds of winning them are astronomically bad since those survey sweeps are often open nationwide, sometimes internationally and have long entry periods.

I won $100 grocery card from Safeway in 2014 using my receipt. No winnings from Walgreens, Walmart or Target surveys. I enter online sweeps every day via a sweep-site, about 20-30 a day. Won numerous small prizes. A big prize from ESPN was a tour of their studio in CT all expenses paid from CA. My 2nd fairly big one is from Sierra Trading Post via online is $500 gift card. That’s it.
