Well, he’s the author of How To Win Lotteries, Sweepstakes and Contests In The 21st Century and is known as the Sweepstakes King! He also wrote the foreword to my upcoming book.
I’ve always been a fan of riddles and logic puzzles. Here’s one for you: What do a Rolling Stones concert in Berlin, year’s supply of ice cream, electric guitar, Caribbean Cruise, Diet Coke commercial, throwing a first pitch at an LA Dodgers game, big screen televisions and cash from TV’s “Wheel of Fortune” all have in common? Any guesses? Well, they’re just a few of the more than 500 prizes I have won by entering sweepstakes and contests, which ultimately led to the media crowning me “The Sweepstakes King.”
I know you’re hungry to be a winner of sweepstakes and contests since you picked up this new edition from Carolyn Wilman, The Contest Queen. Let’s get right to it, without delay! Here’s the winning recipe to winning and I mean winning Big! Drum roll, please! Take equal parts of The Sweepstakes King and The Contest Queen, mix in a dash of persistence and patience, stir until well blended. And what do you get? The delicious, fulfilling and rewarding opportunity to increase your odds of winning cars, cash, vacations, TV’s, computers and a limitless bevy of tasty prizes. Do you notice what’s missing from this recipe? That would be luck, because, simply, no luck is required to be a consistent winner of sweepstakes and contests. Have I increased your appetite to be a winner? Well, Carolyn’s new book will help you build a buffet of prizes that are sure to satisfy.
Before I became known as The Sweepstakes King, I was hooked on watching TV game shows. As a teenager, growing up in Florida, I fantasized that one day I’d be a real game show contestant and win a cavalcade of cash and prizes. After graduating from The University of Denver, I pounced on my childhood dream, drove to Hollywood and within a week I was selected to be a contestant on “Match Game,” winning $6,000! Immediately, I wanted to audition for other game shows, but quickly learned of legal restrictions at the time, limiting individuals to only one game show appearance per year. At this point, I was already addicted to winning, so I immediately jumped in haphazardly entering numerous sweepstakes and contests. Sadly, despite my exhaustive efforts, I ended up empty handed and frustrated. Of course, I quickly attributed my lack of wins to not being lucky and basically threw in the towel.
Then, I took a breath and thought, maybe I could, through trial and error, devise a system for tipping the odds in my favor and actually start winning. Amazingly, things began to change rapidly. The first sweepstakes I applied my plan of attack resulted in me winning 3 color TV’s, cash and an all-expense paid trip to the Caribbean, all from a single store promotion. From then on, it felt like the prize flood gates opened, and my rapid accumulation of prizes led to me writing my first how to book on winning.
I have shared my secrets for winning on many TV shows including ABC’s “The View”, CNN, The Howard Stern Show and “The Maury Povich Show.” My latest best-selling book How to Win Lotteries, Sweepstakes, and Contests, in the 21st Century continues to educate and inspire people of all ages to join in the joy and excitement of this wonderful, rewarding hobby.
In addition to the prizes, entering sweepstakes and contests opens a wealth of experiences and friendships, including my collaboration with Carolyn Wilman. Over the years we have shared fun stories and have swapped winning ideas. I had a blast being a guest on her online radio show. Carolyn truly is The Queen of Contests and I’m honored that she is sharing some of my winning ways in her new book.
Other lasting friendships developed after winning a Diet Coke Caribbean cruise, which included winners from across America. Part of the prize was all of us starring in a commercial filmed aboard the cruise. Sometimes a souvenir from a win will stick with me for a long time, like the couple extra pounds I carry as a result of recently winning a year’s supply of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream.
I can’t think of any other hobby that can potentially add riches to your life, while enriching your journey along the way. So, let it be known that the Sweepstakes King and the Contest Queen make a royal proclamation, for you to go forth, enter, have fun and win! Now you are well on the way to securing your own keys to the contest kingdom!
