Googling for Fun & Profit

GoogleKay asked this question on my How to Deal with an Overfull Email Inbox blog post.

How to you do Google and get one day sweepstakes or get notified of new car sweepstakes?  I have tried Googling the words “one day sweepstakes” and get junk, or tried “car sweepstakes” “ford truck sweepstakes”.  Is this right?  Do you have other hints?

When sweepstakes first went from paper official entry blanks to online entry forms, Googling sweepstakes was the easiest way to find sweepstakes.  Now, the easiest way to to join an online sweepstakes aggregate site as all the work has been done for you and many of the sites even divide the sweepstakes into various categories making it very easy to search for what you want to enter.

Try Online-Sweepstakes, Sweepstakes Advantage or Contest Girl.

If you still want to use Google, set up alerts.  I have four separate alerts set-up for the words sweepstakes, contests, Contest Queen and Carolyn Wilman.  Then every time Google comes across a link or site with those words, I get an email with the list.

How do you find the sweepstakes you want to enter?

GOOD LUCK!

Great idea. I had never thought about googling for sweepstakes. Now I’ll have to go have some fun. Thanks for the tips.

Rarely do I enter contests especially on line. I really don’t know why; maybe because it is lack of time or mistrust. We do take lotto all the time and buy tickets in ‘Prize Homes’, which are charity based.
On the other side of the counter, I do run some competitions and give-aways through my newsletters and facebook page.

Thank you Carolyn for wishing us all good luck and for your article.

maybe you should try – since 2001 I have won over $250,000 in prizes including 16 trips – companies in the U.S. last year spent over $3,000,000,000 running promotions, there is a lot to be won!

I’m a member of Redflagdeals.com Contest forum. I also have a lot of contests just come into my inbox thanks to agreeing to receiving newsletters when I enter contests.
