Top 5 Sweepstakes Entry Questions: #4

Question #4:  How will I know I am a winner?

You will get a phone call, email or letter stating you are a winner.  It will contain the name of the sweepstakes, the name of the sponsor, contact information (sometimes from the sponsor, sometimes from the sweepstakes management agency), release forms and/or and affidavit.  You will never be asked for your credit card or banking information to claim a prize, but you may be asked for your Social Security Number (if you are in the U.S. for income tax purposes) and/or you may be asked to pay the sales taxes on a prize.  If you read the rules, my number #1 sweepstakes entry tip, you would know in advance of winning what your obligations are as the winner.

I ALWAYS try to read the rules and follow as specifically as possible – the only time this doesn’t work is when the rules are confusing, but most of the time they aren’t!

Why are more sponsors calling..with heavy work schedules and life i am hardly home and when at work i can’t talk on the phone and why not leave a message and give people a chance to respond. I got over 8 calls on my caller id…today on home phone and no messages…confused… also is there an easy place to go that teaches twitter to slow learners. Who need step by step directions….thanks for all you do…Merry Christmas
